Title: Hematopoiesis by the numbers: tracing families and counting divisions
Abstract:
Cell proliferation drives the growth of multicellular organisms during embryogenesis, tissue homeostasis, and regeneration after damage, and its dysregulation can lead to disease such as cancer. In this talk I will introduce a new method we developed to count division in vivo that started from work with mathematics. I will then present our recent advances on tracing single cell lineage in healthy hematopoiesis and leukemia.
