I am a biologist by training with a solid expertise in live imaging, image processing and data analysis. During my PhD (IGDR, Rennes), I studied the mechanisms underlying the asymmetric division and the cortical polarization of mouse oocyte. As a postdoctoral fellow (IBDM, Marseille), I studied the apical contractility of epithelial cells during Drosophila embryos morphogenesis. I particularly focused on understanding how the cortical F-Actin transduces MyoII contractile forces to the cell periphery. Throughout my research path, I developed a keen interest in interdisciplinary research at the interface between biology, physics and computer science.
As a research engineer in image data processing within CENTURI multi-engineering platform, I am in charge of providing advice and support to researchers and students concerning image processing and data analysis. Moreover, I organize and conduct courses about these topics and assist in technology transfer between the teams of the CENTURI project.
I would be particularly able to help you with:
- Biological sample imaging (optical microscopy)
- To produce a reliable data set ready for image analysis
- Fluorescence quantification
- Considering problematics such as background subtraction and normalization
- Object segmentation
- Using thresholding, pixel classification or watershed algorithm
- Flow measurement
- Using particle image velocimetry (PIV) or discrete particle tracking (STICS, KLT)
- Signal processing
- FFTs and IIR bandpass filtering
