CENTURI welcomed about 100 participants during its CENTURI Day on December 1st, 2023. Throughout the day, 10 speakers took turns to talk about various subjects, such as viral predation or self-organising principles in tumors. The presentations not only showcased the advancements in individual fields but also underscored the interdisciplinary nature of modern scientific inquiry, a core theme at CENTURI.
This CENTURI Day edition’s round-table was focused on “How to increase sustainability in the lab”, chaired by Simon Legendre (DDD), which was followed by an interactive discussion on “Research on the Anthropocene Era: should we change our habits?”. This round table brought together experts from diverse fields to deliberate on the impact of human activities on the environment and the role of the scientific community in addressing these challenges.
Additionally, our new CENTURI fellows from the Multi-Engineering Platform could showcase their activities and line of work to the community, fostering new collaborations.
Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the presenters, asking questions and forging connections that may spark future collaborations. The poster session at the end of the day served as a testament to the diversity of research within the CENTURI community.
